Wij publiceren al 25 jaar boeken, prenten en CD-ROMs over oude techniek en industriële archeologie. De belangrijkste werk­gebieden daarbij zijn: industriële geschiedenis en veldwerk en documentatie in industriële archeologie; werktuig­bouw­kunde; stoommachines en verbrandings­motoren; metallurgie; productie­techniek en warenkennis; en staal­constructie. Onze publicaties zijn overwegend in het Nederlands of het Engels, enkele zijn in het Duits.

DE ARCHEOLOGISCHE PERS Publishers

For the last 25 years we have been publishing books, prints and CD-ROMs on historical technology, the history of industry, and industrial archaeology. The most important topics we cover are: industrial history and fieldwork and documentation in industrial archaeology; mechanical engineering; steam engines and internal combustion engines; production technology and metallurgy. Our publications are mainly in Dutch or in English, a few are in German.

Het fonds omvat drie soorten publicaties:

• Heruitgaven van zeldzame authentieke contemporaine handboeken, al dan niet geannoteerd

Tot voor enkele jaren verschenen onze publi­caties voornamelijk in gedrukte (boek) vorm. Tegenwoordig komen al onze publicaties uit­sluitend op CD-ROM uit. De CD's zijn te lezen in elke webbrowser (bijvoorbeeld Microsoft Internet Explorer), er is dus geen speciale lees-software nodig.

Our list comprises three types of publication:

• Re-issues of rare authentical contemporary textbooks, sometimes annotated, sometimes not

At first, our publications mostly appeared in printed (book) format. The last few years, however, all our productions are published on CD-ROMS exclusively. The CDs can be read in any webbrowser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer), so no special reader-software is required.

Commissioned publications

Wij ontwerpen en maken ook boeken en/of CD-ROMs voor auteurs, die hun werk in eigen beheer willen uitgeven. De oplagen kunnen redelijk klein zijn; net als de kosten.

We also design and produce books and/or CD-ROMs for authors wanting to self-publish their own work. Production runs can be quite small, and costs quite reasonable.

Publishing for third parties

My years of experience in publishing and producing books and CD-ROMs are available to any principal. Do you want to self-publish a book or CD-ROM: I can take up the production chores for you. This facility is also open to private persons. The cost is modest. The only task remaining for the principal: marketing, selling and distributing the book or CD-ROM.

Voor Stichting Nederlandse Staalbouw schreef en produceerde ik het gedenkboek "Een hoekstaal van de maat­schappij - Constructie­werk­plaatsen in Nederland, van 1840 tot heden" (verschenen in 1994; xliv + 878 pagina's) en voor de Ondernemers­organisatie C.W.M. het gedenkboek "Vechten voor je gelijk, 45 jaar Ondernemers­organisatie CWM, 1951-1996" (verschenen in 1996, xiv + 398 pagina's).

1. Al onze prijzen zijn inclusief alle verschuldigde belasting en exclusief verzendkosten.
2. Belasting - Op boeken 6% B.T.W.; op CD-ROMs 19% B.T.W.
3. Verzendkosten - Wij verzenden alle bestellingen per conventionele post. De verzendkosten zijn afhankelijk van bestemming en gewicht.
4. Verzending - Wij versturen je bestelling direct na ontvangst van jouw betaling.
5. Vermeld bij een bestelling in ieder geval: je naam en adres; alle titels die je wenst en de aantallen daarvan; waar relevant, de uitvoering (paperback, gebonden, CD-ROM)
6. Als je ons jouw emailadres wilt geven, bevestigen wij jouw opdracht per omgaande met een mail; en sturen we je een mail wanneer het pakje hier de deur uitgaat.

What else do you need to know?

1. All our prices include all due taxes and exclude postage.
2. Taxes - On books 6% V.A.T.; on CD-ROMs 19% V.A.T.
3. Postage - We send out all orders by conventional mail. Postage depends on the total weight of books/CDs ordered, and of course, on the delivery address.
4. Delivery - We send off your order directly after receipt of your payment.
5. Do not forget to mention in your order: your name and address; all titles you want to obtain and the number of copies for each of them; where relevant, the edition (paperback, hardcover, CD-ROM)
6. If you are prepared to give us your email address, we will confirm your order by return mail; and send you a mail the moment the parcel is set on its way.

Wij accepteren geen on-line betalingen. Evenmin credit cards of bank-cheques. De kosten daarvan zijn veel te hoog. We do not accept on-line payments. Neither do we accept credit cards or cheques on Banks - the cost is far too high. The fastest and easiest way to pay the required amount is by cash. Mail us for detailed instructions.
