Herdruk van een Duitstalige brochure uit ca. 1906

Wolf was één van de grootste Duitse fabrikanten van semi-stationaire stoommachines. In 1905 had de fabriek reeds 103.539 pk afgeleverd! Deze Duitstalige brochure beschrijft de opbouw van de met oververhitte stoom werkende typische verplaatsbare Wolf-machine. De voorkomende uitvoeringen worden geïllustreerd en in tabellen gedokumenteerd. Een aardig detail is de vergelijking tussen een Wolf locomobiel en een zuiggas-installatie, die (hoe kan het ook anders) sterk in het voordeel van stoom uitvalt. Ook de getoonde Wolf generatorwagen voor de kermis is interessant.

Wolf was one of the largest German manufacturers of semi-stationary steam engines. In 1905 they had already delivered over 103,569 hp! This brochure, written in German, describes the construction of the typical semi-portable Wolf engine, working on superheated steam. The various types of engine are described, shown and documented in tables. A nice detail is the comparison between a Wolf locomobile and a suction gas engine, which (had you expected otherwise?) is very much in favour of the steam plant. Also very interesting: the illustrated Wolf steamdriven generatorset for fairgrounds.
